Movements for Life is the 8-week course that helps you get there. Just you, a friend, and some open space.

What is Movements for Life?

It’s an 8-week online course designed to be done with a friend in your local park, garden, or green space. You’ll learn to move with more ease, confidence, and capability, so you can lift, carry, crawl, roll, balance, and get up and down from the ground without fear.

Just fresh air, real movement, and shared strength. And yes, you can also do it on your own!

Why we made this course

Most fitness programmes are built around aesthetics, equipment, or motivation you’re expected to find alone. But real strength looks different.

It’s helping your neighbour push a car.
It’s crawling under the table to grab a lost toy. It’s the confidence to say yes instead of “maybe later.”

We built this course around the skills you actually need to participate in life.

What you’ll learn

Each week you’ll explore one of life’s essential movement skills, like getting up from the ground, crawling, balancing, lifting odd objects, or falling safely. But this isn’t just a series of workouts.

This is a course for thinkers, explorers, and people who want to understand their bodies again.

You’ll watch, listen, reflect, and move.
You’ll be asked to notice before you try harder.
And you’ll come away with knowledge that lasts far beyond the final week.

Designed to be done with a friend

This course was built for two - because most of us struggle to stay motivated alone. Whether it's a friend, a partner, your teenage daughter or your mum, movement is always better together.

Do can do it together in-person, or join online from different places in the world.

You’ll coach each other, laugh together, and explore what your bodies are capable of.

Is the course for me?

This course is for you if:

  • You’re in your 40s–60s and want to stay strong for life

  • You prefer green spaces and parks to gyms

  • You’ve tried fitness classes and found they were just not for you

  • You like to understand why something works - not just follow along

  • You’re looking for meaningful, long-term movement confidence

And it’s not for you if:

  • You want bootcamp vibes

  • You’re looking for high-intensity training you can plug and play

  • You don’t want to reflect, adapt, or try new things

What you’ll need

  • A friend or accountability partner

  • A garden, park, or any green space

  • A few household items (broom, bag with handles, timer app)

  • Clothes you can roll around in!

No gym. No gear. Just you, your friend, and the outdoors.
