Confidence in Motion

An 8-week course to build balance, fall resilience, and confidence in your everyday movement

You’ve started to think about movement more as you age. Perhaps you’ve started strength training and you want to explore new capabilities, move in ways you haven’t for years, build your confidence, and do all of this in a way that works for you.

The Confidence in Motion Course gives you the knowledge, skills, and support to get there, in a way that feels approachable, playful, adaptable, and sustainable.

This isn’t about perfect technique, but building more options when things don’t go to plan.

Weekly live coaching + Q&A, expert guests, and pre-recorded movement library.

“Just brilliant. THANK YOU Gill & Andrew! Suddenly it all feels possible.”

What is Confidence in Motion?

Confidence in Motion is an 8-week course designed to help you move with more confidence in the real world - not just in controlled settings.

Most movement programmes prepare you for controlled environments - but real life rarely looks like that - you step over things, carrying bags, react to your environment - and sometimes you lose your balance.

This course focuses on building confidence in the between movements by exploring balance, rolling and falling, so you’re ready for the unexpected.

Let’s build resilience, so that when you next stumble, you’ll know what to do.

Why we made this course

This is the course we’ve been wanting to create for years, it combines a look at the leading research in falls and balance, with everything we’ve learnt through creating WildStrong and Nature Moves. It’s playful and creative but also gives structured ideas for progressing over time.

For many of us, there’s a gap between being strong and feeling capable in real life. Where Strong for Life worked to build up fundamental strength through progressive strength and impact - Confidence in Motion fills in all the gaps.

What you’ll learn

  • How to build and challenge your balance in different environments

  • How to move between standing and the ground with more ease

  • How to roll and fall with confidence in ways that work for you and your setting

  • How to respond when things go wrong

  • The difference between structured practice and exploratory movement

Frequently Asked Questions

Read the FAQs, if you have any concerns before booking, please do send us an email. We’d love to hear from you.

  • We created this course because strength alone isn’t the full picture. You also need confidence, adaptability, and experience in less controlled situations. That’s what we’re building here.

  • No, it’s a fall resilience course. We’re not trying to eliminate risk entirely, we’re helping you become more capable when things don’t go to plan.

You’ll have follow-along videos, clear written guidance, and ongoing support (weekly live Q&As and the online forum) so you always know what to do next.

  • Yes - as this is our first cohort we ask that you:

    • Can confidently get up and down from the ground unaided.

    • Have some recent exercise history

    • This first round is not suitable for anyone with osteoporosis or pre-existing conditions unless we’ve worked with you already or we’ve talked to your physio or GP.

  • For this first round, no — unless we’ve worked with you directly.

We’ll expand this in future versions.

  • We get it, it’s easy to start strong and then lose momentum. That’s why this course is built around connection and accountability.

You’ll join a live call every week (including guest sessions), get access to a private student forum, and have ongoing support between sessions.

This isn’t a “buy it and disappear” programme, we’ll be learning, training, and checking in together every week.
