Stepping back but not away

I started attending ‘Momgym’ during the lockdown of October 2020 – I was pumped to meet new people having just moved to the area and I loved the concept of being outdoors, trying new things and having a chat – it was safe to say I was hooked from the start.

So, when Gill approached me and asked if I wanted to formalise this group that had been born from a bunch of women grunting and huffing in the woods, it was a no brainer.

All my previous experience had been in Education and the business world was all new to me. Luckily, I was in good hands, Gill had the know-how and taught me so much, whether it was deciphering some epic forecasting spreadsheets, mocking up a poster or prepping for a big Bupa pitch. Unbeknown to me at the time, there would be some huge learnings, a multitude of discoveries and some pretty awesome results.

Last year, I started the Wildlings programme at Pangbourne College for girls that had become disengaged with sport and exercise – it was such a rewarding experience, and I knew in my heart teaching kids was something that I would want to continue with eventually.

I am now nearing the end of my maternity with Baby Rollo and it is with a heavy heart that I have decided my journey with Wildstrong is coming to an end, or at least my ‘Director’ role is - nothing will stop me attending the sessions with you lovely lot!

I am so glad I got to work with both Gill and Andrew, together they are a force – their work ethic, dedication to the community and just being genuinely great people is inspiring – thank you for your patience, expertise and friendship. I have had a ball and I know Wildstrong will continue to thrive.

Finally, thank you to all of you – I couldn’t have done it without your support, energy and humour, you guys are mega.
